Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neslihan Yuca is the co-founder and CEO of Enwair Enerji Teknolojileri A.Ş. and R&D Director of Pomega Energy Technologies, where she works closely with industry partners on the development and commercialization of advanced energy storage technologies. Her work focuses on translating research outcomes into scalable, industrially viable solutions for applications such as electric mobility and stationary energy storage. Her research focuses on the development, optimization, and industrial implementation of high-performance and sustainable battery technologies, including electrode materials, battery safety, lifetime improvement, and battery recycling. She has been actively involved in and led numerous national and international R&D projects, including EU Horizon, TÜBİTAK, and industry-driven collaborations, addressing real-world challenges in battery manufacturing, electric mobility, and stationary energy storage applications. Her project experience spans the full value chain, from materials and cell development to system-level implementation. In parallel with her industrial activities, Dr. Yuca is an Associate Professor at the Energy Institute of Istanbul Technical University (ITU). She received her Ph.D. from ITU and conducted postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (USA). Her academic work supports innovation in lithium-ion batteries, advanced battery materials, and energy storage systems, strengthening the bridge between academia and industry.
