Biography

Elena Domenica Marra is a Nuclear Engineer with over 22 years of experience in Discrete Event Simulation (DES) for production flows and reliability engineering. She currently serves as the Digital-Simulation Manager within Comau’s E-Mobility Global Competence Center, where she oversees the development of automated systems for battery components (cells, modules, packs, trays) and e-motors. Her expertise lies in integrating DES with multiphysics software to create high-fidelity optimizations. By accounting for the inherent variability of real-world environments, she ensures that simulation outcomes are strictly aligned with operational reality. Working at the forefront of the preliminary design phase, Elena collaborates on engineering increasingly efficient and innovative production lines. She acts as a strategic partner for clients, providing expert guidance in evaluating alternative technical solutions and tailored proposals. A pioneer in industrial digitalization, she is currently leading the integration of NVIDIA Omniverse to advance the next generation of industrial digital twins.
